Website content description and purpose
The primary purpose of the www.gfcf.co.uk is provide some direction for those who are wanting to investigate and learn more about a gfcf diet to alleviate the symptoms of ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) or related pervasive developmental disorders.  These pages have been created as a subsidiary of Autism And Oliver.  Oliver's parents believe that a gluten free and casein free diet has had a positive effect on his wellbeing and health but recognize that such a diet is not suitable for all.  Oliver, who has autism, has followed a gfcf diet for more than 20 years, with the advice and support from his Consultant and Dietitian.  However, scientists and health professionals are not in agreement about the benefits of following a gfcf diet and at present, official government health department recommendation is to avoid the gfcf diet.
